Architizer A+Award for two of our US projects

We already announced, that our project Breathe.Austria was one of the 5 runners-up for the Architizer A+Award 2016 Category Pavilion. Now two of our projects in the US actually won:

Forum at Marvin Hall wins in the category “Higher Education and Research Facility”
The Forum - designed by Studio 804 - is an addition to Marvin Hall - the historical School of Architecture building at University of Kansas. It satisfies the school’s critical need for a central commons space and an auditorium, neither of which were originally present in Marvin Hall. It is designed and constructed solely by the post-graduate architecture students and participants of Studio 804, the Department of Architecture’s Design/Build program, with support from various industry experts. Transsolar advised on the design and architectural integration of the climate-responsive double façade and natural ventilation strategy. Photo: Studio 804

Grace Farms is the Jury Winner in the Category "Engineering + Architecture"
Grace Farms - designed by SANAA - is a social landscape for enjoying community life in a natural setting and will provide opportunities for outdoor social gathering, athletics and recreation. The project is committed to preserving the habitat for native flora and fauna while creating uplifting spaces for people to interact in.
Transsolar performed detailed analysis of surface temperatures for the unique composition of curved glass with overhang and interior shade. Transsolar also repeatedly analyzed insulating performance of the proposed roof construction to meet overall project targets. Photo: Ana Almeida
