The German Federal Award for Building & Environment was awarded to the classroom wing of the Schubart Gymnasium in Aalen, Germany at a recent ceremony in Berlin. The award was accepted by Bernd Liebel of Liebel Architekten on behalf of the entire team.
The Federal Award for Building & Environment recognizes clients and architects who plan sustainable buildings of high architectural quality or who are committed to renovation at a high architectural level. An independent jury selected four winners from a variety of submissions and recognized seven additional projects.
