Global Flora wins LafargeHolcim Award 2017

The LafargeHolcim Awards 2017 for North America was awarded to Global Flora in Wellesley, Massachusetts, USA. The LafargeHolcim Foundation, based in Switzerland honors projects and visions in sustainable construction, irrespective project scale. We are very happy to be part of the winning team alongside Sheila Kennedy and Frano Violich of Kennedy & Violich Architecture in Boston.
Global Flora is an interdisciplinary botany center linking Wellesley College to the local community in Wellesley and represents an exceptional low-energy building. Transsolar’s role was critical in reimagining the greenhouse – typically an energy and water-intensive program – as a net zero energy building.
