On September 8, 2026, Prof. Dr. Nadir Abdessemed will give a lecture at the Academy for Architectural Culture (aac) in Hamburg. The event will take place at 11:00 AM at the Rainvilleterrasse campus and will also be streamed live online.
Nadir Abdessemed is Creative Director and Associate Partner at Transsolar. Since 2009, he has been supporting international design teams in Stuttgart and New York in the development of climate-responsive building and urban design concepts. His project portfolio ranges from schools and museums to mixed-use districts, as well as climate strategies for cities and regions.
After studying mechanical engineering, he earned a doctorate in aerospace engineering. Alongside his work at Transsolar, he is actively involved in research and teaching worldwide. Following teaching appointments including at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, he currently serves as Acting Professor of Building Technology and Building Physics at the University of Siegen.
The lecture will take place on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Rainvilleterrasse 4 in Hamburg and will also be streamed live on the aac YouTube channel. Online participation is possible without prior registration.
