The 17th Venice Architecture Biennale opened last month after one year delay due to COVID-19. We are happy to see the installation of The Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture of the Cooper Union, titled ‘Microcosms & Schisms’ (photo: Taryn Kosviner). This physical and digital installation is a collection of four research areas that address the Biennale’s theme “How will we live together?" in the context of New York City.
Pamela joined in 2020 as one of two consultants to the microclimates team led by Lydia Kallipoliti. The team explored the range of interior engineered climates of New York City in terms of comfort, pollution, and population density among other metrics. This research acquired another level of relevancy once the pandemic forced all New Yorkers to stay indoors.
