RIBA International Prize 2026: One of four shortlists, WOHA's BRAC University Campus

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has announced the winner of the 2026 RIBA International Prize. Four projects, located across Belgium and Bangladesh, were shortlisted for the world’s most prestigious architecture award.

Heartiest congratulations to the Winner: Green Field Factory, Bangladesh, by Nakshabid Architects!

Designed by Nakshabid Architects, the rug factory offers an alternative model for factory design and operation. Green Field challenges traditional workplace environments whilst creating new opportunities for its predominantly female workforce in Rangpur, Bangladesh.

We are very proud to have been part of WOHA's BRAC University Campus team. The project is built on a former landfill site in Dhaka, Bangladesh, transforming a neglected urban site into a vertical campus serving 20,000 students and public spaces, embedding the site into the local neighborhood.

The other two shortlisted projects are both located in Belgium and include:
● Royale Belge, (Brussels, Belgium) by Caruso St John Architects in collaboration with Bovenbouw Architectuur and DDS+ Architects
● Z33 / House for Contemporary Art, Design & Architecture, (Hasselt, Belgium) by Francesca Torzo Architetto
