Climate-Positive: Fuel Station + Rest Stop Fürholzen

The Fuel Station and Rest Stop “Fürholzen West” represents a "service station of the future". The building was certified as climate-positive in operation by the German Sustainable Building Council DGNB, a project designed by the architects Allmann Sattler Wappner for the client Autobahn Tank&Rast GmbH.
The basis for the CO2 balance is the "Framework for Climate Neutral Building Sites" published by the DGNB and relies on measured data. The award is for buildings that make a positive contribution to climate protection through a negative annual CO2 balance: For 2019, the savings here correspond to carbon dioxide emissions of 42.7 t.
