As part of World Green Building Week 2026, the DGNB will host the event “Build it Ready: Perspectives on Climate-Adapted Construction” in Stuttgart on September 8. The focus will be on the question of how prepared our built environment is for the challenges of the future. The discussion will center on approaches and projects that adapt cities, buildings, and open spaces to changing climatic conditions and make them resilient in the long term.
The program includes insights into various DGNB initiatives on climate adaptation, a keynote speech on climate-adapted cities and landscapes, and a project presentation on Stuttgart’s Schlossgartenquartier, followed by a panel discussion.
Prof. Thomas Auer will also be participating. During the discussion on the Schlossgartenquartier, he will share perspectives on climate-adapted urban and building development from the standpoint of climate and energy planning.
