Thomas Auer will hold a lecture at the University of Southern California in the course of the USC Architecture Spring 2021 Lecture Series on February 17 at 6 PM PST.
Thomas will talk about the advantage of passive systems and their contribution to robustness and resilience of buildings. If such a system also offers users the opportunity to influence the indoor climate themselves, the desired user contentment can be reached, even without the highest performance.
Thomas is professor of building technology and climate responsive design at the TU of Munich and partner at Transsolar. He works with distinguished architectural offices worldwide on award-winning projects that are characterized by innovative design and integral energy strategies. His research deals with resource consumption, environmental quality and robustness.
