You’re invited to join the AIA Philadelphia Committee on the Environment today on November 9, 2020 at 5:30 - 7 PM EST via Zoom to learn more about the 2030 Commitment, to share knowledge, and to improve practice. Architects have an important role to play in addressing the climate crisis. In Philadelphia, buildings alone contribute to more than 70% of the city’s greenhouse gas emissions. In Part 2 of the 2030 Working Group, we will focus on design strategies to reduce emissions, paving the road to net zero in 2030.
In this session on "Collaborating: Best Practices for Working with Building Performance Specialists" we will:
- Identify common challenges for collaborating with BPSs
- Identify appropriate studies for each design phase.
- Explain the information Architects need to provide for successful studies at each phase of design.
- Compare and contrast workflows for successful collaboration with BPSs by building size or complexity.
We'll be learning from Scott Kelly of Re:Vision, Laura Blau of BLUPATH, and Tommaso Bitossi of Transsolar with Rachel Stecker of Daoust Lestage Lizotte Stecker.
The session is free but please register here>
