Not far from Munich Central Station, Herzog & de Meuron are transforming the former Postbank square into an energy-efficient complex. The complex from the 1990th will not be demolished completely, since the body framing is still in good condition and should mostly be preserved. The building will form a coherent ring with subdivisible office spaces and, with new facades, and will act as a centre of attraction for mixed use in the inner city. The courtyard will be transformed into a green garden acting as a purifying element; filtering the air in a natural way.
