We are honored to receive the Werkbund Label 2026. Felix Thumm and Matthias Schuler accepted the award on behalf of Transsolar at the ceremony in Karlsruhe on October 9th.
The Deutscher Werkbund Baden-Württemberg recognizes projects and initiatives that demonstrate outstanding innovative, forward-looking or design quality, contribute to society, or advance environmentally responsible technologies and energy solutions.
In its laudation, the Werkbund reflects on Transsolar’s work since the company was founded in 1992:
“Since then, Transsolar has made a significant contribution to the modernization of the construction industry with its holistic energy concepts.”
The jury further notes that Transsolar has provided important impulses and foundations that have helped shape the way we build today.
