Matthias is both an architect and an engineer and thus shoulders two fundamental aspects of climate-appropriate building - architecture and climate engineering.
Thanks to a holistic view of integral planning, he understands both the architectural and the engineering approach and recognizes solutions in design and technology. Even in complex situations Matthias finds it easy to communicate strategies to the design team and to develop them further in cooperation.
With the urgency of climate change, he cares deeply about the important issue of renovating existing buildings, as this is where a lot of leverage lies in reducing emissions. He leads our renovation task force and organizes workshops and lectures. Matthias is constantly deepening his knowledge and sharing it as a mentor, as a lecturer at universities and at international symposia.
