Adrian Turcato gave his talk "Buildings are for People" on April 5th at the TEDxCUNY 2019 titled What Matters Now in New York. TEDxCUNY was formed in July 2013 out of the strong belief that a public academic institution as large and as diverse as the City University of New York needed a platform for spreading ideas and discussion. The team received its license in 2014.
Adrian describes his climate engineering approach and the principles he followed when developing comfort concepts. He presents in detail the Karl Miller Center at the State University Portland, where the atrium of the new added building designed by Behnisch Architekten is 100% passively cooled.
