TSA Fellows returning to the new-normal – starting on their individual projects

After having almost 12 weeks of home office in their shared flat, the Academy Fellows are adapting to the new-normal, as the German COVID 19 restrictions are slowly being lifted. Now, they are supporting our engineers on project work and have started on their individual projects with support from their mentors:

Ana has decided to continue her research on the topic of dehumidification in the tropics using desiccants and is being supported by Guowei. Francis chose to develop a carbon-neutral framework for buildings and is working with Clara and Tommaso. Ketan is digging into the next dimension of building materials and working on improving our life-cycle assessment capabilities with Alice, Markus and Daniel. Luke is setting up a strategy for a carbon-neutral Transsolar – not only her mentor Nadir is interested in the result of her research and the proposed approach. Pablo has teamed up with Marion and Christian from our software development group, and is further developing our outdoor thermal comfort tools. Sandhiya is augmenting our CFD-modelling skills to show the impact of vegetation on outdoor comfort with the support of Hamza.
